"La La Land: Melodia de Amor" lidera a lista para os Critics' Choice Awards, votados pela Broadcast Film Critics Association, a maior organização de críticos de televisão, de rádio e de meios online dos Estados Unidos e do Canadá.

Visto como o mais forte candidato aos Óscares, o musical confirmou o favoritismo esta temporada com 12 nomeações, incluindo melhor filme, realização, ator (Ryan Gosling) e atriz (Emma Stone). A estreia nas salas de cinema portuguesas será a 26 de janeiro.

Logo a seguir, com 10, estão outros dois títulos muito aclamados: "O Primeiro Encontro", o filme de ficção científica com Amy Adams, já em exibição no nosso país, e "Moonlight", que acompanha a jornada de um negro homossexual desde a infância até à idade adulta, que continua sem estreia prevista por cá.

A lista dos candidatos a Melhor Filme completa-se com "Fences", “O Herói de Hacksaw Ridge,” “Hell or High Water - Custe o Que Custar!", "Lion - A Longa Estrada Para Casa", “Loving”, “Manchester by the Sea” e “Milagre no Rio Hudson”.

Estes prémios conseguem abranger muitos filmes graças às 27 categorias, que destacam géneros como ação, comédia e terror, garantindo reconhecimento a títulos e atores que costumam ser esquecidos por outros prémios.

Os premiados serão conhecidos na 22ª cerimónia dos Critics' Choice Awards, marcada para 11 de dezembro.
